“When it comes to party supplies such as party decorations, think creatively. You’ve already got some great inspiration and ideas for your next party event…”
An event planner mentioned to me that she was disappointed because although she planned and hosted many parties, they all pretty much looked the same. I asked her to explain how the party events were similar. It turns out that there were always lots of colorful party balloons, streamers and party favors. However, the party theme colors were almost always red, yellow, blue, green and orange. Well I could see exactly what she meant. It would be boring if every party we planned was decorated in just these color combinations. So how do you keep your party and your party colors from being boring and unmemorable?
Here are 3 Ways to Make Your Party Event Memorable
1. Be Imaginative!
Stretch your imagination to come up with some unique party ideas. Think about coming up with a party event theme based on a popular TV series such as Downton Abbey, Empire, or Mistresses.
As an event planner I like to plan parties that easily lend themselves to specific colors that are not typical run of the mill primary colors. A Breakfast at Tiffany’s theme for a Bridal or Baby Shower allows the party planner to bathe the room in Tiffany blue better known as robin’s egg blue. Now bring in the color of black add some party decorations and favors such as imitation pearls and diamonds and you have unique party event that your women guests will adore!
2. Be creative!
When it comes to party supplies such as party decorations, think creatively. You’ve already got some great inspiration and ideas for your next party event, so don’t go “Plain Jane” on the decorations. Be sure to think outside the box for party decorations that will make you next event extraordinary and unforgettable. Think jars filled with colorful baubles, giant goblets filled with colored stones and vases full of fantastical feathers!
3. Bring on the lights!
Create an exciting party room with lights. Transform your party venue into a fantasy land and a wondrous “nightscape” by illuminating it with the magnificent ambiance of light.
